Uli Funke, founder of the Academy for Applied Neuroscience A|F|A|N and Master of Cognitive Neuroscience (aon), is a speaker, entrepreneur and author, head of studies and lecturer at the Institute for Communication and Leadership ikf, Lucerne, Vice President of the BDVT (Association for Training, Consulting and Coaching), certified wingwave coach, Eigenland© consultant, trained facilitator for LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method and material and member of the German Speakers Association and the German Association of Professional Journalists. With BRAIN FOR BUSINESS®, he has developed a scientific program that teaches entrepreneurs and other executives the most important aspects of neuroscience within about five months with minimal effort and makes them applicable. More than 20 years as a radio journalist, including 12 years as editor-in-chief, as well as his experience from over a decade as an entrepreneur form a good basis for his current work as a speaker and leadership developer. He has been an entrepreneur since 2010 and heads the DURABLE GROUP of companies, which now includes eight companies in the fields of education, consulting, media and gaming.
Uli Funke is in direct contact with science. During his Master's training, he gained in-depth, first-hand knowledge from neuroscientists such as Prof. Dr. Dr. Gerhard Roth, Prof. Dr. Tobias Esch, Prof. John Dylan Haynes, Prof. Dr. Christian Büchel and Dr. Martin Meyer.

The videos are great to listen to and the guiding questions provide further perspectives. I only "discovered" the Brainbot during Chapter 9, but I think it's great for questioning your own thoughts. That's definitely another added value. I think that by planning to work in groups, you also fulfill the point of "real exchange," which I found somewhat lacking, although I was happy to be able to learn at my own pace.

His calm, clear, and pleasant manner of speaking is very helpful. I really liked the graphics in the videos, as well as the layout and structure of the training. Some of the content is very useful to me (other parts less so, but that's due to my field of work). Working with the brain trainer was rather "boring" in terms of duration: I had the impression that the questions were repeated too quickly (even though I had answered them correctly). The multiple-choice questions were often too easy, and the wrong answers were too obviously wrong. But I will continue to explore Brainbot.

"Neuroscience finally understandable" was the title of the approximately 60-minute online event offered by the Institute for Personality. DUli Funke did a very good job of introducing the topic in an astonishingly calm manner. Because he used what I consider to be very good slides to convey scientific facts in a lively and easily digestible way, he piqued my curiosity and made me want to learn more. Yes, Uli Funke can make neuroscience understandable.
